• Q: How do I search for a position?

Click on the piece to move. Click on the square where you want to move the piece to. When it is a valid move, the move is added to the notation list, right of the board. Press the Search button
Normally, within a few seconds the games are found. Click on the game to select it. The notation will be loaded.

• Q: How do I look for games played by a player?

Type in the last name of the player for white or black. When you look for games player by player which last names consists of more words, for example "van Wely", 
type "van*wely" as the last name. You can choose to exclude the boardposition in your search by unchecking the checkbox.

• Q: Can I download games from the server?

• You can copy the selected games to the clipboard and paste it in a texteditor or any 
  other program. In ChessBase 8 access to the online game database is integrated. 
  You will be able to update your database with new games.

• Q: The applet is loaded but nothing happens

• Your browser might not support Java, or Java is disabled

• Q: How many games does the database contain?

• More then 1,8 million
  
• Q: Will the online-database be updated?

• Yes, on a regularly, approximately weekly basis.

• Q: Can I upload my own data to the playerdatabase

• You, you can, go to the playerdatabase and choose for uploading your picture.
